“Lakes Express”

“Lakes Express” is published and distributed to Members four times a year, usually in February, May, July and October. The irregularity of timings is to accommodate the circulation of information to members about the autumn and spring meetings. It usually carries items of news and interest about Railways in Cumbria, upcoming events and activities for the CRA, and also other railway related and railway modelling groups within the county and developments within the CRA itself.

Each circulation of “Lakes Express” is accompanied by “Cumbrian Railways“, which is the CRA Journal.

Lakes Express is made available electronically for members with visual impairment to allow them to download the issue and zoom in or out as they wish to find a magnification to suit them. These can be found in the members area of the web site.

An abbreviated version, “ELX”, is made available in PDF format from our website to non-Members, principally to keep local History Groups and the Press informed of our activities.
