Formed in 1992 to provide a focus for local historians and local societies in Cumbria, the Cumbria Local History Federation (CLHF) seeks actively to promote and support its member societies and their work, fostering co-operation and exchange of ideas, publishing a Bulletin three times a year, arranging an annual Convention of its members and visits to local historical resources in the county, and, through its new website, providing a wealth of resources (including contact details for its member societies, a diary of forthcoming events, a directory of speakers, past issues of the Bulletin, and links to a large number of other useful local and national websites.
